Lost all comunication with the microsquirt

Post by micke_lc4 »

Have hade good comunication with the microsquirt and was doing some cranking tests to try to solve som problem with rpm spikes, then all comunication was lost and couldnt reconnect:(
Have tryed it on 2 computers now with no luck.

Can still hear the injector klicking when crankin, so parts of the box seems to be alive.
Could i have damaged the comunication in some way by just cranking?

Try closing all programs, running the Port Check program, and post a screen shot. It may have some clues about what happened.

Ok, a complete loss of communication. I would check the serial cable for continuity first; it could just be the cable is broken if you aren't seeing any other problems.

Email me offline at bbowling@earthlink.net .. I will help you with this to see if we can figure it out.

It sounds like a port issue, or perhaps the harness assembly. The key info here (thanks for including this in the post) is that the box still injects while cranking, just no comms. This tells me that the microsquirt is working and not a stuck bootloader issue that occurred with some v1 boards.

Well get you going...
