Ok questions about that 2.0 Escort map. Why does it top out at 5000 RPM? Is this a turbo setup?

I think it uses the last fields on the map for any RPM above the indicated... so it would run the timing of the last column up to the actual set redline...

that's my understanding.

This was my "commuter car" and as such hardly ever go above 4000rpm. I was happy with the power over 5000rpm, the amount of time I spend over 5000rpm is so small (never?) I was not worried about it.

Am I right in thinking that anything over the defined RPM map will continue the last timing #

The strange jog in the map is were the variable intake switches.
