MS-II and Dual Wideband

Post by midnightblue »

There is an option in Megatune under Settings --> EGO Control to select "Dual Wideband".

Is this currently supported by the code? If not, is it in the pipeline?

Where do I connect it, and do I need any circuitry to interface it to the input ? (assuming it already has the controller)

I'm looking at two LC-1 widebands into an MS-II on a v3.0 pcb.

Many thanks, Matt.

Yes, the dual lambda sensor feature has been in the MS-II code since V1.0. You connect the second sensor to the ADC6 input with appropriate circuitry and it adjusts the PW2 output independently of PW1...

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I will hook it in via JS5 from one of the spare pins.

Would you suggest using the circuit from the Extra code Image

or duplicating the R10, R11, C10 circuit from the v3.0 pcb Image
to keep things identical for both channels?

Regards, Matt.

I ended up duplicating the circuit already on the v3.0 pcb. That seems to work just fine.

What about the software side of things? Can you get two wideband gauges in Megatune and also can the two seperate 5v inputs be calibrated against afr as per a single wideband? Do the afr values datalog ok?

There is only one calibration because it is assumed you are going to use the same type of sensor on each side. If there is a small difference, you can compensate for it in the separate afr target tables.

Thank you.

The sensors and controllers I am using are the same so shouldn't be a problem.

Sorry for this hijack and thanks for your help.
