Re: 5V Injector Signal

You might be able to use a PNP transistor: MS injector output to the base, 5v to the collector, your injector to the emitter. When the base goes to ground, the transistor will conduct 5v across the collector and emitter. Likely a P-channel mosfet might be better though, and wired similarly.

Use pin 21 for the ground of the second VR sensor (but not a Hall sensor). I have fixed the documentation. I don't know if the colors have been sorted - I will try to find out if they have and add it to the docs.

Lance.
Thanks.

Re: Fuel injector concerns

Thanks, and sorry about the deluge of CX owners' communications. I had nothing to do with that. It was another user's post on a forum which made me come back here and reply.

As far as my "learning" goes, the people interested get updates. Unfortunately, my learning is leading me away from 'squirt ...

Re: Fuel injector concerns

I was but became distracted due to a roommate moving out and losing that income days before my truck was stolen, so funds ran thin.

Re: Tuning

Just a thought-
If no one has contacted you, you might get some help from the forums if you posted in the Tuning section and provided your MSQ and a datalog.

"Cannot use Search function"

Why is it I can search for some arbitrary terms, click on a post, and if I go "back" I get told I cannot use the search function?
Should I wait 30-60 seconds before going back?

Re: Fuel injector concerns

Yes I would like to keep it stock, but sometimes one has to bite the bullet.

The sub-standard flow must be due to condition. The bike sat for 15 years. The injectors were cleaned by a local shop and the tech told me they flowed nothing during the initial test. He ran several cleaning cycles on them ...

Re: Fuel injector concerns

Okay, looks like I'm hosed. RC Engineering says the injectors should be flowing ~330.
Time to go shopping.

Fuel injector concerns

I had my injectors cleaned and they came back at 246 and 252 cc/min. I'm a little concerned about this since some of the injector calculators I've used show these will top out at around 30HP or so each, 60-70 from the engine. The reports vary for the motorcycle but the average was around 80 RWHP. I ...

Re: Honda CX500TC - CX500 Turbo

Okay... I thought I had it nailed down but time and reality caught up with me so a little change in direction was warranted.

I'm ditching the PnP slant I was hoping to acheive: it'd be good to re-use sensors if the parts were readily available but they're not. Mating to the stock harness would've ...
