Hi Lance-

Thanks for the reply.

The TIP120 is actually just soldered into the proto area of the V3 board. So no chance of grounding out the tab. :(

Should I just bite the bullet and pick up a scope on E-Bay and see what I am getting on the FIDLE?

Thanks.

Ford PWM IAC not working.

MS-II V3 2.36Code MT2.25

When I initially put my MS together I bought the Ford IAC kit from Jerry at DIYAutotune which consisted of a replacement Q4 and replacement R19. After my first start it was obvious the IAC wasn't functioning. My mulimeter showed Q4 had all legs with continuity to ground. So ...

You can also build a MegaView and it will display AF ratio for you.

DIYAutotune has the LC-1 for $199 and the MV for 135. The MV has more funtionality than just displaying AF ratio as well. Just a thought.

Well that's bizarre. We apparently have two different manuals for the same piece of equipment! My page 14 is "Advanced Output Programming" Strange.

On the resistor issue I should have linked you to the thread here at msefi.com The information is not in the LC-1 manual but has been discussed here ...

I just did this myself. On page 10 of the LC-1 .pdf manual it states that output 2 (brown wire) is factory preset to output 1 to 2 volts so I foolishly assumed that output one (yellow wire) was preset to be 0 to 5 volts. Well it didn't work when I wired it up.

I simply used LM Programmer to ...

I just went through exactly what you are describing and tried everything you did with the same results.

In the end I found out it actually was reversed leads on the VR sensor. When I changed them the first time I cut the leads and instead of switching them simply soldered them back ...

Ahhhh, thanks for the insight estate agent! I didn't realize they needed vacuum to operate properly.

But more importantly I am a victim of not reading directions closely enough. The megamanual clearly states that PWM sensors must be set under the PWM dutycycle menu and NOT the Idle Control menu ...

Ford PWM idle air control testing on bench.

Hello all-

I have MS-II, V3 main board, Megatune 2.25, and 2.35 embedded code, all hooked up to a relay board.

I bought the PWM kit from DIYAutotune which included a new Q4 and R19. I jumpered the relay as per the megamanual. Everything seems okay. When I power up the MS I get a a good ground on ...
