I just got done with the troubleshooting tips from the megamanual. All checked out good. I have some solder that wandered its way into the holes for C30 (which should not be hooked up for the hall circuit) and the VRIN hole on the bottom of the PCB (which is for VR circuit). Would this be causing a problem. Also, I noticed in Megatune with the stim hooked up my time(s) reading stays at 0. It flashes every once in a while, but stays at zero while its flashing. In the car on the laptop with the MS hooked into the relay cable I do get a time(s) reading. What is up with that? Only other possibility I see is a flux problem as I only have 70% alcohol at the house which didnt get rid of all the flux.

Just got done desoldering the wandering solder and scrubbed the board with acetone and washed it with warm water. I'll let you know tomorrow if that cured anything as Im waiting for the board to dry.

richyquest87-

I just went through exactly what you are describing and tried everything you did with the same results.

In the end I found out it actually was reversed leads on the VR sensor. When I changed them the first time I cut the leads and instead of switching them simply soldered them back together!

I swapped them again, correctly this time, and the problem was solved. Any chance you might have done the same thing? Just an idea.

PJF,

No, I bought an entire harness for EDIS without splices. The 2 VR sensor wires are 2 different colors (Yellow and Pink). I switched them so that yellow was on pink and pink was on yellow to no avail. Plus Im not getting a RPM reading with the MegaTune set to EDIS on the Stim either. Thanks for your advice though.
