Re: Mantianing old ecm to control 4l60e

Apparently you only need to maintain the tps, map, and ignition signals to the old ecm. hi 442olds -

I think it also needs VSS. I lost my cruise control on the swap (4L80E) as well and it would always throw codes without the EGR wiring in-place and other issues with other stuff, so... I left ...

Stim is short for Stimulator - used for testing and diagnosing MS. See here: http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/v1stim.htm
There are newer versions. Check with a supplier.

...How important is equal length of the intake runners with a port injected system. This is in a racing application. Hi Doggitter,

Intake lengths are often staggered for a broader rpm range - but not randomly. They do not have to be equal length, however there should ultimately be a reason for ...

wideband yes, data logging no :( Hey 95eclipse -

Just hit ALT + L together and then ENTER to start datalogging in MT. When done, hit ALT + L again then ESC to end. It will have the full date and time as part of the filename. Attach the resulting .xls file to a post here.

If the 3 crank vanes are evenly spaced, and the cam sensor gives (or can be modified to give) one pulse per cam revolution, you should be able to use the Dual Wheel mode in the Extra code. Read ...

BooBoo,

I don't know if it's my system or yours - but I don't see any parameters loaded in your .msq. :? What code are you running? Can you 'fetch' parameters from MS with MT?

...There is a n/a version of my engine. So you said that if I put the values of the non-turbo engine in the generator, and extend the kpa value, I will have a good start point? Depending on how far off the numbers are between the turbo and N/A versions of the engine - that should get you a table ...

... I have used the table generator but I dont know how to set it with the turbo. I suppose that the kpa values will be higher than 100 because i got a turbo... Hi pit_celica - If you also have the pressure at those HP and torque readings as well as a redline RPM you should get a decent starting ...

injector size too large?
