I need help making VE table
Engine : Toyota 3SGTE 2.0 L inline-4 cyl. turbo.
Injectors : 800cc.
Hp : 260 @6500 RPM
Torque : 240@4000 RPM
Req_fuel : 4.2
I have used the table generator but I dont know how to set it with the turbo. I suppose that the kpa values will be higher than 100 because i got a turbo. I use MSII.
If you can, help me with the ignition map for the same engine. I'm going to use EDIS-4 ignition. Tell me if you need more information for doing the table.
Thanks
I just started the tuning process myself for the first time, and I found the VE table generator, req fuel estimator, and tips for the spark table to be very good places to start.

Hi pit_celica - If you also have the pressure at those HP and torque readings as well as a redline RPM you should get a decent starting table from the generator in MT. If not - and there is a N/A version of your engine - you can enter those numbers at 100kPa and tell the table to extend to the kPa you anticipate running. That should also get you a table that will start and run enough to begin tuning.pit_celica wrote:... I have used the table generator but I dont know how to set it with the turbo. For the spark table, see this thread: http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?t=9941. A couple of the spreadsheets in that thread are good starting places, but just using the info Lance gives and figuring it with pencil and paper may get you a table quicker than downloading and sifting through a spreadsheet. Once again, the factory numbers are helpful guidelines to extend from.

There is a n/a version of my engine. So you said that if I put the values of the non-turbo engine in the generator, and extend the kpa value, I will have a good start point? If you also have the pressure at those HP and torque readings as well as a redline RPM you should get a decent starting table from the generator in MT. Depending on how far off the numbers are between the turbo and N/A versions of the engine - that should get you a table that will start and run enough to begin tuning. Generally, the N/A and boosted versions of factory engines are close enough in cam timing and other factors to give a ballpark for starting. Keep the engine lightly loaded until it is safely and properly tuned in both fuel and spark.pit_celica wrote:...There is a n/a version of my engine.
