Microsquirt & ign coils on 2 stroke

Post by Powerabout »

Can someone help me here, the Microsquirt says it only has logic level coil drivers.
Does this mean it needs inductive coils?
If so it can fire 1GN 1 and 1GN 1A
Will these coils survive a 2 stroke at 7500rpm?

It means it lacks the heavy-duty transistors to handle the 5-10A charging current needed to fire an induction coil. The IGN-1A has the necessary ignitor built-in, and from the specs given (3ms nominal dwell with a max 40% DC) should be good to 8000rpm on a two-stroke.
