Need MegaSquirt for Turbo'd Jeep - What do I need?

Post by Blu3Mul3 »

Hello everyone,

I hope I have posted this in the correct area. I would like to install a MegaSquirt system on my 1997 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L and I am in need of some assistance in getting all of the correct pieces to get it to hookup and work. Below I am outlining what I did to my Jeep to make me need a MegaSquirt system:

I have installed a Garrett T3/T4 turbo on to my 2.5L, inline 4, '97 Jeep Wrangler. I also installed a front-mount inter-cooler, Bell Engineering boost controlled fuel pressure regulator, Ford 60lb/hr injectors, and a throttle body from Jeep 4.0L. I am running E85 fuel and with the stock computer it always runs extremely rich and can't be tuned very well. I am hoping that by installing a MegaSquirt system I will be able to better tune the fuel management and get it running correctly.

Will the MegaSquirt II be sufficient or should I get the III?
What other adapters/sensors do I need to hook it up? Thought I read once that it doesn't work with the stock Jeep crank sensor, is that still the case?
What other add-ons/features would be worth looking into?

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Seth
