No tach signal, msd streetfire chevy 350

hey guys new to forum
im installing microsquirt on my chevy 350, controlling fuel only. having problems getting tach signal from coil negative. dash tach is working, but nothing on tunerstudioms.
wiring is grey/red to coil negative,grey/black to 12v power source as per manual. any help would be much appreciated. thanks

This could be a settings issue. Please post your MSQ.

If adjusting the settings doesn't work, try this coil -ve circuit.

The tune file read by MegaTune or TunerStudio has a .msq extension.

i believe this is the file correct? i had my brother start doing the tuning while i was in camp but stopped when we didn't receive a tach signal.

I don't see any obvious RPM killers. What exactly are you using for ignition? There's a couple different MSD Streetfire components that could be used on a Chevy 350.

just the HEI distributor everything else is stock.

4, 7, or 8 pin HEI?

Are you using a CDI box as well?

4 pin hei, no cdi box that I know of.
