100mv vr output at crank but no triggers?

Post by supermac »

Using my scope I can see the 60-2 waveform... The output seems to be 100mv peak-peak at cranking speeds. the Microsquirt is not registering any triggers. I have scoped pin 1 on the micro as well and I dont seem to be getting any output there.

It's possible 100mV is too low, have you tried reducing the air gap? and see if this makes a difference. I had a similar problem with VR2 on the cam sensor side.
I would expect one of the big guns to give a definitive answer. :)

Any suggestions to modify the circuit to handle the lower vr signal?

Mechanical would be reduce the air gap, electronic ...externally use a VR conditioner, a few folks outside the forum sell them. I don't think we can say who on this forum :) :?
