No, there's no way of telling which tooth is which.

So motionper, Matt is saying you'll need a missing tooth, or a cam sensor option. Once you add a cam sensor option, your 4 tooth wheel might be sufficient, although more teeth give a better resolution.

At the risk of being pedantic (who - me?! :lol: ), I would point out that the 4-0 wheel CAN be used, but only as part of a "fuel only" operation, with one squirt every (1, 2, or 4) tooth / teeth. Ignition would not be possible.

More accurate fueling, and/or ignition, would require (as Matt and 24c noted) either a missing-tooth wheel or a cam sensor (or both).
