Error mesages when opening MegaTune

Post by kib_norway »

Using microsquirt only in a fuel only setup on a HD sportster. Everything is just hooked up, and I have just made successful connecten between PC / ECU. Starting to learn how to use MegaTune etc.

I get the following error messages when I start MegaTune:
(see attachments _1 and _2)

1: This error occurs even if microsquirt is not connected to the computer

2: This error occurs right after clicking "ok" on the first one, when microsquirt IS connected

Any idea on where I can find correct files...?

I would also like to know some more about how to create new projects, what files must be in a project folder, etc etc... I know I will have to read alot here and browse around the site... but if anyone could point me in the right direction I would be happy :-)

Looks like you have MegaTune configured for beta code but the Microsquirt loaded with 2.886 (a stable release), though you might want to upgrade both to 2.890. See this page for details:

Thanks!

That solved my problems!

Did basic setup, and bike now STARTS and IDLE!

Was a bit "rusty" and hard to get started, since it has not been started since last november, so it flooded. Replaced the spark plugs, and it fired up allmost right away!!!

I now have idle, and it's also possible to rev it carefully.

Big thanks to everyone that helped along the way!

Now on to the tuning of VE/AFR, accel +++
