micro squirt bad??????

is there a possiblity that the micro squrit came to me defective ????? i can get my computer to talk i have tried everything i am starting to think the box it self is bad any kind of answer will help thanks

Have you tried the portcheck.exe program? That's the first test I would run, followed by testing the serial cable.

Each Microsquirt has been tested by me before I send it out. It is possible there is an issue, but before sending it back run the portchecker like Matt indicates, and try different PCs to eliminate this.

yeah i have tried 3 different computers and port checker and still nothing what should i do ??????????

Check the serial cable for continuity. Also see if you have 5 volts on the VREF wire on the Microsquirt. What do you find there?
