(oh anybody out there know where the hell my constants are. I've read the manual inside and out and it's not helpful. need help with that one too.)

It will solve the "Conditional check references undefined value n2o" error."
The newer versions of MegaTune from the manual have this file in place already and need no changes. However older versions, or versions from other sites, may not have the updated settings.ini file.
I don't have any idea what you mean about "where the hell your constants are". MegaTune uses a number of tuning parameters, some of which everyone needs to set, other depend on the specific configuration. See: http://www.megamanual.com/mt28.htm (for 2.8 code), it describes virtually all of these parameters and how they are set.

oh and the 'constants i was wondering about is that i read over the directions again to make sure we didn't miss anything so that maybe i can get my bike to fire this time after downloading the new file, and in the steps it says before you start engine set the constants....i wasn't sure if the constants were the settigs in the configurator or if it was talking about the parameters in megatune such as idle control and things like that.
a question that i have with burning to the ecu is that if there is a category that doesn't apply to us do we still have to burn something to the ecu or can we just leave it. and when you burn things to the ecu if you want to change a parameter somewhere is it enough to change it and then burn it, does it burn over the previous setting.
i really need to get this running this week can you tell me what are the mayor parameters to make sure to set when your running fuel only and we also have a map sensor. it's a 2 cylinder 61.0 ccu with an injector/cylinder. any suggestions in parameter settings

The constants are the settings in MT. For example, you shouldn't try to start the car until you have specified the number of cylinders, type ignition, etc. If you don't know what a variable is, either leave the default or look at the help link. All the parameters are defined and explained.
As far as burning flash, when you come up after powering down, you have 2 copies of your msq in memory - one in permanent memory the other in volatile memory. They are guaranteed to be the same when you first come up, because the permanent memory is copied into the temporary. (Just like bringing up a file in Word - you have your local copy that you can change, then you hit save to put the changed file into permanent storage. Then you can go on and make more changes, save, etc., and all the changes keepm being added to the permanent storage without losing old changes) Same thing here. Only warning is don't hit the burn buitton at high rpm, wait until you are back down.
As far as getting things running quickly, MS is not something you pop in and turn the key - unless you bought it from someone who set it up for your engine. There is a lot of flexibility in MS, but it is meant to be something you learn from. You have to read the documentation and understand it at least to some extent. It takes most people, unless they have a dyno, weeks to get a car running with a proper tune. And that is if they are lucky and don't run into electronic problems with the ignition, VR sensors, etc. On the other hand, it takes GM many months with dozens of full time engineers and technicians, and $M+ equipment to get a car tuned to their standards. That is because every engine model is different, and we are dealing with a product designed for as many engine types as possible. It is necessarily complicated.
