Minimum reliable REQ_FUEL

Post by hybrid »

I've got to the point where I have wired the power and ignition trigger of the Microsquirt on my bike.
I hooked the laptop up and can connect fine etc.

My problem is that I'm getting a REQ_FUEL of 2, which seems way too low. I might have to look at smaller injectors.

I'm running 4 throttle bodies (4 cylinder stroke) with 4 x 40lb/hr injectors.
I'm going to try and get a part number from one of the injectors to verify this.
The engine is 500cc.

My other concern is that there is actually going to be an ignition event every 180 degrees for each cylinder (wasted spark), so this is going to cause the Microsquirt to deliver twice the amount of fuel.

To get a REQ_FUEL of 5.2 I'm having to put in 15lb/hr injectors.

Here are my specs:
- 30ci displacement
- 4 cyl
- 4 injectors
- 40lbs/hr
- Microsquirt Powered 347ci 66 Mustang
- MS1 V3 Powered Ford 351CI V8
- MS2 SMD Powered 307CI Holden V8
