Programming Microsquirt CPU

Post by Mangusta »

Hi all

Maybe this question has been asked. I need to know if I will be able to program the new MC9S12C64 CPU myself like the old 68HC908 CPU. I know the new chip is supersmall. But say I can mount it, can it be done? Will I need to program it before soldering it onto the PCB or can I program it after it's fitted?

Regards,

Mangusta,

You can prgram a blank chip after installing it using a BDM cable. For all the MicroSquirts though, the chip will already be programmed, and the code can be upgraded through the serial port.
