283 sbc, th350, tpi induction, small cap efi distributor, MSII, megatune 717, 48 lbs fuel pressure one the rails when not running.

So My car is running and things are going ok so far. When the engine is in park with no load it idles great and revs fine. When I put it in gear it idles fine and pulls quite nice at half to 3/4 throttle. When I am crusing at a steady rpm and kPa once in a while the engine will cut out and then come back to life. That only happens at a few speeds, so I figure I still need more tuning(I assume it means a lean spot in the ve).

If I am crusing in 3rd and stand on it it will pull pretty well up until about 2500rpm. Also if I take off from a stop in 1st it pulls well until 2500rpm then it will cut out and die, then a split second later it will wake up and pull for a second, then cut out and die again, then wake up and pull.... The power seems to turn on and off on and off as the engine slowly gains rpm.

I started my ve table with the generate function using desktop dyno numbers of 320ft/lbs @3100 and 250hp @4500. Since that original table I have massively incresed the table around 3000rpm while keeping the table nice a smooth. I have also taken the req fuel from 14.7(which is what the comp calc for stoch) to 15.3. I think it is still going lean but have no way to verify this. My narrow band is as good as junk, it just sits there and moves every once in a while(should I disable it?) I really need a nice wideband O2, maybe next year :(.

I am going to change my fuel filter thrusday(although it is brand new and should be ok). The plugs are not pure white but whiter then I would like which leads my to think it is lean. Could the cutting out and dying be an ignition problem? how much more can I add to the ve table?

I would post my msq and data log but all it lets me do is add a pole?!?!?!?    :x :x

any help would be great!
