MAX RPM fuel cut limiter on Turbo application, is this safe?

Post by 460stang »

So am I crazy to be actually hitting my fuel cut limiter with a turbo. Is this actually going to make me lean, or does it actually just shut down the cylinder completely.

At the drags, I have actually lanched off my fuel cut max limiter at the track (Yea I left at 7000 RPM). The sucker actually builds boost on the fuel cut limiter like it would on a spark cut limiter. I can make 12 psi boost on the limiter pretty easy.

So if this is reasonably safe (big if), what would it take to add a launch control input like extra but run it as a fuel cut type. I am currently running EDIS and my MSD DIS-2 is acting up but MSD swears it works fine. I need adjustable launch control. No suprise I have a traction problem when I leave at 7000 RPM and 12 psi boost.
