Map reading at idle

MSII, v3 w/ 2.35 code.

Is it normal for an engine at an idle of 800-1000, to show a map reading of 70 kpa?

I am new to this, so I am not sure what to expect, it seems the map is high at idle, and as I gradually accel it drops to 40 kpa, then slowly back up a bit. I have not tried WOT yet, until I get the ve table done. Cam is .488/5.11 234/244, with 30lb, on SBC 355 SLP TPI setup.

Have only driven and logged once, I want to make sure I am ok to continue tuning.

Many thanks,

I've got a fairly healthy cam in mine and it reads 56-60 kpa.

my stock bmw ilese at 50kpa (cold) and just over 40 kpa when hot. but values like 70kpa are within normal range for aggresive cam, especially if you have ITB's.
