Merkur tfi problems

Post by PRODROMIDIS »

MS-II- ver 2.33 -v3 board- megatune 2.5- daily driver swapping stock ecm for megasquirt

Like most rookies im having issues getting my megasquirt to work i have a merkur 2.3 turbo 36lb/h inj. First I had no tps signal fixed that, now im having a problem where she doesnt start.

Did some reading found a couple forums where they had the same issue what they did was unplug the spout connecter so i did and vola she starts in a half bum way but doesnt stall. Kept reading and there talk about bad code and/or problem with connections or compents.

Went back to step #50 and #65 made sure it was correct but then i found a post by megascott showing a different setup for the tfi using a 330 ohm pickup, and a 2k resistor for r12 and somthing else. Made the changes to mine indicated by that diagram and now with the spout connected it starts for a second but then dies right away (sounds horried). tried changing my pulsewidths starting at 88% for -40 and 23% for 170 of req-fuel (10.2) but cant get her to purr. but now me need help from the enchanted ones cause brain dont see words to straight

by the way if i unplug spout she still starts even after i changed things.

I've found a link that tells me to unplug the spout when setting up the injectors and untill that is done then worry about the timming with spout plugged in.

I am trying my best to set up my idle but the a/f will ramp up lean. Does anyone have any suggestions
