Increasing idle speed for A/C or transmission

Post by TPI 85 Blazer »

Hi, I'm just wondering if there are any provisions in the code for changing the IAC setting when the A/C clutch turns on or the transmission is put in gear.

I know that closed loop idle speed control is not implemented due to the complexity, but I was wondering if there is a way to add a certain number of steps to the IAC motor when you have an input indicating the load has increased or something like that?

I would like to have the idle set low and barely drop when shifting into gear.

I searched a lot but didn't find anything conclusive.

It's planned in the future releases of code.

At lot can be done with timing to assist with idle speed and the load change. If you are running ignition... May be an obvious note, but I thought I would sugegst it anyway :)
