Resolution Question with MSII

Post by kawizx12r »

I am currently running MS&S with the 8 bit with the GZ08. I would like to know how much better the resolution is with the 16 bit. I believe that a lot of my lack of finite fuel adjustment is due to the GZ08. Can anyone who previously ran the GZ08 and then upgraded tell me about the improvements.

Thanks

kawizx12r,

It is much better. I have run both, and in multiple configuration (TBI, port, different sized injectors, etc.) on the same engine.

With MS-II I am able to run eight 72 lb/hr injectors on my engine with no practical restrictions on idle and cruise fuelling.

That wasn't possible with MS-I, and the fuelling had to be compromised to get an approximation of what the engine wanted. And even then the coarse increments in fuel PW as the inputs changed caused some tuning issues at small pulse widths.

So yes, it is better, and it's not just theoretical, it is something you can feel with large injectors on an application that requires a large dynamic range.

Lance.
