The MegaSquirt Project has experienced explosive growth other the years, with hundreds of new MS installations occurring every week - a phenomenal success! MegaSquirt has been successfully used in all aspects of Internal Combustion engine applications including R&D, Industry, Race, and Research. The MS project has transformed itself from a simple R&D project into a full-featured mature engine control system. To reflect this the support structure has also changed to meet the needs of MegaSquirt Users.
Moving forward, the R&D forums for MegaSquirt project are in a read-only mode - no new forum posts are accepted.
However the forums will remain available for view, they still contain a wealth of information on how MegaSquirt works, how it is installed and used. Feel free to search the forums for information, facts, and overview. While the R&D forum traffic has slowed in recent years, this is not at all a reflection of Megasquirt users, which continue to grow year after year. What has changed is that the method of MegaSquirt support today has rapidly moved to Facebook, this is where the vast majority of interaction is happening now. For those not on Facebook the msextra forums is another place for product support. Finally, for product selection assistance, all of the MegaSquirt vendors are there to help you select a system, along with all of the required pieces to make it complete.

I have been tuning my mustang however I am fairly new at this. When I run datalog viewer my af does not read just stays flat at 10 to 1. in megatune it displays af realtime properly. when i go into tablgen set it up for innovate the values given are not right, you can edit the values but when you exit they return to 1v=8 4v=20 and i get flat line on log. I did look at the log file and it does not seem to have a column for af either? any help is great. this v2 was installed by DieselGeek I hate bugging him with the mundane as hes a backlog of ms installs to do. unplug the sensor from the lc1 and power up the lc1 for 30 seconds. then power down and plug in the sensor. power up and the lc1should do a heater calibration followed by a free air calibration. Ensure the car has not been run for some hours so the exhaust actually contains fresh air or crank for 30 secs with ms unplugged to pump some air through.
If it still does not work either the sensor or lc1 has proably failed (like mine!)
Also make sure you have run a calibrate a/f table in megatune.
Maybe we are unlucky or these units are very sensitive?
You need to modify your MT configuration, I don't know what firmware or version you are running, or I could give you details. Find the ini file that contains the [Datalog] section (msns-extra.ini or megasquirt-II.ini or whatever), look down at the bottom. You want to find the variable that is used for the gauge in the [GaugeConfigurations] section, then make a new "entry = " line down in the datalog section that logs that variable.
would it be the LC-1 unit itself or just the bosch sensor?
i have a feeling i just fried mine too, i have cleaned, and calibrated the sensor and the heater etc sveral times, and it reads nothing but 12.3 AFR in free air and in the exhaust
the sensor itself is from a 2002 model Volkswagen Bora, with the AQN V5 (2.3 litre engine)
My lc1 unit works great, however it is very sensitive to ground offsets. i ended up running a 10 gauge wire up from battery ground to use all of the lc1 ground are hooked to that as well as ms grounds Mat
