does MS&S extra support autotune?

I'm running MS&S extra MT ver717 and 027c firmware, Does anyone know if autotune is only supported with the fuel only firmware?

Autotune will work with MSnS-Extra and with fuel only. But you will need a NB or wideBand Oxygen sensor.

Maybe not. Andy's been working on a means for empirical computation of AFR using MAF data and computed fuel flow. If that worked out, you could tune to a specific AFR using nothing more than feedback based on injector pulse width and MAF flow.

But as Werner says above, Auto-Tune doesn't care about firmware versions at all, just that there is some EGO sensor feedback from which to derive info. Read this thread for more.
