The MegaSquirt Project has experienced explosive growth other the years, with hundreds of new MS installations occurring every week - a phenomenal success! MegaSquirt has been successfully used in all aspects of Internal Combustion engine applications including R&D, Industry, Race, and Research. The MS project has transformed itself from a simple R&D project into a full-featured mature engine control system. To reflect this the support structure has also changed to meet the needs of MegaSquirt Users.
Moving forward, the R&D forums for MegaSquirt project are in a read-only mode - no new forum posts are accepted.
However the forums will remain available for view, they still contain a wealth of information on how MegaSquirt works, how it is installed and used. Feel free to search the forums for information, facts, and overview. While the R&D forum traffic has slowed in recent years, this is not at all a reflection of Megasquirt users, which continue to grow year after year. What has changed is that the method of MegaSquirt support today has rapidly moved to Facebook, this is where the vast majority of interaction is happening now. For those not on Facebook the msextra forums is another place for product support. Finally, for product selection assistance, all of the MegaSquirt vendors are there to help you select a system, along with all of the required pieces to make it complete.

Hows it going fellow tuners.. Trying to perfect my accel on 1986 Mitsubishi montero 2.6 turbo charged. I got the VE pretty dialed now. My accel still stumbles. I was wondering if I lower time sec if it will quicken accel? I have it at about 200. I tried using default and it stumbles pretty bad. Manual says to raise red bar . You do that by increasing ms correct? Any help would be great thanks.

Hey Matt .. Happy holidays.. Thanks for a response. I'm still getting an occasional burping. Mainly off idle like leaving a stop . I have first dot at 300 with .2 ms. Second dot at 250 and .4 ms. 3rd at 200 and .6 ms and 4th 150 .8 ms on tps side. Map graph has same numbers. I played around with tps to map percent. Seems to run better on more map percent. Is this due to tps noise? Do my numbers look close to being right ? Manual is not to good on this area.. Thanks
Here they are.. I made some changes as I drove. it bucks the most when its colder. it starts and idles smooth when cold but when I go drive it chokes pretty bad. gets better as it warms. also seems to react better when I run more map percentage. im wondering if my duty cycle is maxing out. should I change my injector settings to alternating instead of simultaneously.. well check it out and let me know thanx.. happy holidays Matt..
So I kept at it , on my own.. I found tps signal has a lot of noise. As I changed percent of map versus tps my response got better. I have settings at 50% map and 50% tps. Got threshold up about 150 on both. Most of issues where mostly wen vehicle was cold so I upped values on warm up wizard. Little by little I am getting it down. I am still unclear on how many seconds/percent is ideal. I know every car is different , but any examples would be nice. I got my first tps value at 150 sec with 8 ms shot then tapers down. My required fuel is 14.
so this is the best ive got so far. Ive been studying the datalogs . im finding that im getting a negative map dot value right before the lean spike. I have map dot threshold around 160. should I go higher? what you guys think. here is my latest datalog. thanks and happy new years.
The 0.2 ms added fuel is virtually nothing for your injector size. It'll need to be turned up a bit, after you have the VE table dialed in correctly. But you won't be able to get the AE dialed in until the main fuel is already correct.
