Weber/iaw sensors?
I bought a Microsquirt ecu kit years back but never got around to fitting it onto my Vw turboed 16v engine already running Weber L8 manegment.
Now's the time to fit it and i just wanted to ask if i can use the already present Weber sensors i have?
Idle valve, water temp. air temp. knock sensor, crank position sensor etc.
I've tried the search engine but didn't find much info.
Thanks!

Re: Weber/iaw sensors?
The idle valve is the classic two wire Weber version fitted on Cosworth engined Fords, Lancia, some and a few Fiats and all the sensors are shared also between Ford and Fiat/Lancia. The crank sensor is also a two wire magnetic sensor with a 4 pip chopper disc, exactly the same as fitted to Ford escort/sierra Cosworths.
Can i ask you if you remember when you bought your Microsquirt kit did the kit contain a cd disc with the downloadable tunerstudio software??
I don't think that TriggerWheels ever included one with the kit i bought off eBay.co.uk years back so i'm stuffed..
Re: Weber/iaw sensors?
Everything you need is available on line. Tunerstudio is available as a free download (efianylitics) and can be registered to get all the updates and unlocked features for not much money and i highly recomend doing this.
Also, once you get the ECU powered up, update the Firmware to the latest release of Extracode. This will give you better options for tuning your turbo motor and larger 16x16 VE tables and lots more. Also using the latest release of firmware with the latest version of Tunerstudio should give the most stable platform for tuning.
Temp sensors, either work out what model they are and select from the list or calibrate yourself . Just give the software 3 known values. I use the impedance in ice water for 1 degC, in the arm pit (wife wondered what the "$%*@" was going on lol) for 37 deg C, and boiling water for 100 deg c. The software will plot a line through these points to get give all points in between as well as above and below. Seems to work well.
Cheers and good luck
