You say the VR sensor problem occurred when you loaded 3.760 code. You fixed the configuration problems with this but you are still having sensor problems. You tried another sensor and still problems ? Why not re-load whatever code worked to verify something did or didn't happen to the sensor. BTW, which code was it that worked ?

I did not try the other sensor yet, as I have not had the time to change the connector on the other sensor and solder on a resistor.

Th code was 2.890 when it was working ok.

OK more info after testing....

1a) tachcount reset and engine stalls at idle , have tried the full range of pulse tolerances and masks and no discernible difference.

1b) only noticeable difference is that resets happen less often during warm up than and normal running

2) Have separated the VR wire out and shielded it will additional foil , no change to the fault

3) have adjusted the VR sensor position out from the wheel by 1mm, back to original position, no change to the fault

4) have separated the Hall effect CAM sensor out of the loom and away from the other wires, no change to the fault

5) Spare VR sensor does not fit need to find another to check sensor function.

6)Engine now starting to kick back on starting and slow running stall

7) Sprag Clutch fails again ..... end of testing ... more hrs of labour and £190 replacement to come.... Bugger!!!
