Trigger setup design.

Post by briz »

Hi all. I'm a newcomer to all this; I'm preparing a motorcycle for racing at Bonneville using a Weslake V-twin engine.
I will be using 2 vr sensors set at 50 degrees apart (the V angle) and will be running a single tooth trigger wheel.
The question is, what is the best position to set the triggering for ease of setup? TDC?, idle (10 degrees)? or somewhere the other side of maximum advance?
Your advise would be appreciated, as I have to finish making the trigger wheel & get it installed before any more assembly can take place.
Thanks.

OK folks, think I've worked it out. I've positioned the trigger at the best position for cranking rpms.
