Wiring EDIS

Post by anonymous.shyster »

Hi, I'm a bit lost and confused with the 'shield' in this diagram http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/edis4ew.gif

A shield is shown, coming from pin 7 on the EDIS module, and doing a loop around the other wires. I don't understand what this is supposed to signify as I've never seen this in a wiring diagram before. No mention of it in the text on the page, just in the image.

I found something that said that the wires with the loop around them in the diagram should be shielded. It was suggested to wrap them in tin foil, which I suppose is then connected to the shield pin? Is this correct?
