I thought that as well uninstalled mt and reinstalled same thing so I downloaded the new tuner studio it dont work either checked my computers serial adaptor right port and baud rate should work but doesnt

If you tried to load the ini file into microsquirt with the downloader then you copied the ini file into the ECU and this will not work. Reload v2.890 s19 file and copy the 2.890 ini file into megasquirtII.ini in the MT directory on your PC. There are more detailed instructions about this in the megamanual.

That's exactly what i did! where can I find that in the manual, I feel like a dunce but I knew that if anything would trip me up it would be software!

well, Im apperently having a usb adaptor issue because I cannot connect to uS at all I cannot even upload code. megatune wont connect nither will tunerstudio even though device manager says the adaptor is working properly. so I took uS to work and tried to use a computer there to connect and the adaptor could not start so I guess Ill have to get a new one and see where it goes from there, thanks for your help one more thing port checker would tell me theres 2 valid ports when I was only using one and If I moved the adapter to what it was calling a good port it would say a different port was good has any one had this happen?

Ok, I got the code loaded and uS is communicating with tuner studio so before I try to start the bike is there any paticular ignition perameter I need to set? or should It work as is here is a msq

You have to set the ignition inputs that are involved in injection timing, in particular those involved with how you get yor tach signal. You set no dual spark and 1 trigger tooth. I am assuming you are getting your tach signal from dizzy/ coil. In that case set your trigger teeth = 0 not 1 because you are not using a wheel. Also, you have set trigger return. Change this to calculated, trigger return is for ignition with a very special type wheel.

I rewired my uS and set the ignition perameters you suggested and I still had no tach and the bike didnot start so Im double checking everything and then I see it I had the optin+ going to the + side of the coil insted of the - I switched this one wire and presto I had tach, and after a few minor adjusments to pw and fuel table and the bike was running like a champ I think Ill do some riding/tunning tomorrow. by the way Im very impressed with the throttle response of uS compaired to the stock carbs like night and day!
