Is this a bad tach signal?

Post by 66beetle »

I recently got my car back on the road after doing some stuff to it (relocated IAT sensor, changed some of my fuel lines) and I'm now re-tuning. This is my first time using the new MegaLogViewer program, so I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is a problem or not. Basically, my car is not running smooth when cruising. It surges and sometimes even seems to misfire a little. It's always done this a bit, but it seems more pronounced this year. No amount of tuning the map corrects this. I'm running 024s12 Extra code with fuel only for now. I noticed when looking at a recent datalog in MegaLogViewer, what looks like a noisy tach signal. I didn't notice this in the old MS Log Viewer program, so I don't know if it's a real problem or not, but if it is, it would account for my performance problems. Can someone take a look at my log and give some advice?

It won't let me upload an attachment for some reason, so here's a link to my datalog. Click
