Sorry for my blindness, but I can't find any information about how MS decides which injector bank that should be opened. So the question is, how does MS knows which bank that should be triggered?
Lets say I want to put the injectors close to the cylinders on a V-twin, how do I know that the injector is opened when that particular cylinder valves are opened?
If the injectors are opened two by two on a car, then it seems to me that close mounts are for no reason as it will spray even if the valves are closed. Am I correct?
The Squirt realy doesn't know or care what valve is open or closed. This is only an issue when you have an odd fire motor that shares a common intake tract. Old MG Midgets and Harleys are the most common motors that causes issues. On any motor that has a long individual intake runner for each cylinder or all cylinder have a even fire order sharing from the same injector/group of injectors it is seldom a problem.
In alternating, the first ignition event will fire bank 1, bank 2 will fire .5x the period between events. That period is reset for each ignition event and is always half way between the ign. events except in rapid accel and decel where RPM slew will move that event earlier or later than exactly half way.
But I run two pins passing a VR on the crank running fuel only on a two stroke application. I never know which injector will firing at an open port and which one will be firing at the back side of a rotary valve. I have never been able to see a differance between the two cylinders on a plug cut. All it takes is the VR to miss on ignition event and at full throttle the cylinders swap port timing.
Well, maybe it's a kind of "pseudo tuning", while running at 3000 RPM (and upwards) the injectors are doing their work at pretty high frequency. I have a 90 degrees twin with separate inlets, so I was mostly curious if it was possible to syncronize it with the valves.
But as I said, I think it's a pseudo tuning thing...

Yep.
Also, it depends which cylinder is closer to TDC when you start the motor. The "timing" may be "swapped" when you turn the key.
