MS1 V2.2 - EDIS4 configure -HELP-

Post by 1liter »

I'm ready to start this motor,

1- MS1 was mod to run EDIS4 with LED17 output
2- Spark was configured to run EDIS4
3- I have done everything under http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/setup-edis.html

4. Loaded 029q - Megatune 2.25 release version

I'm pretty much lost at this point after done the edis settup, I try to following the The MegaManual but the direction doesn't seem to apply to 029q version. I can even locate Constants on Fuel Tables 1 + 3 menu, to configure VE and so on -HELP

I welcome MSQ file or VE for Toyota 3SGTE Turbo

Thanks

Ground rules - Always make a habit of clicking "Burn to ECU" before closing out any windows. It's best to have the power on the MegaSquirt first, then run MegaTune. Try to save your .msq often.

Learn how to use mtCfg.exe, it's your friend.

run MegaTune,

Go to "Fuel Tables 1+3" and click on "Constants 1"

Fill this form out and then click on the "Required fuel" button.

After inputting your engine and injector size, click OK, if everything looks good click on "Burn to ECU" then click "OK".

Go to the "Code config" menu and click on "Codebase and outputs function"

Your config for EDIS should look like this, be sure you only have one Code type chosen. After you get the car running and tuned you can try the EDIS multispark function if your module supports it, for now just ignore it. Click "Burn to ECU" and "OK".

Next go to the "Spark" Menu, "Spark Settings". It should look just like this -

To setup your VE table, go to "Fuel Tables 1+3 and click on "VE Table 1" You can go to tools and generate your own table, you can go to file and import and export VE files, you can hand edit the values and rescale the table as needed, after making any modifications the the VE table don't forget to click on "Burn to ECU" and click OK to close out the VE table 1 window.

The spark table can be adjusted in much the same way as the VE table.

Now go to the "Tuning" Menu and click on the "VE table 1" you will see a 3d map of your VE table. To rotate x or y hit the M or N key. To tune just move the red curser using the arrow keys and when you get to the spot you want to change, hit "Shift+up arrow" to increase the value, or "Shift+down arrow" to decrease the value. When you want to go out of the VE tuning screen don't forget to hit "Burn To ECU"

Tune the Spark map in the same manner as the VE table.

Thanks for a detail instruction!

I got the motor running and idle at this time. I'm soo exited I don't know what to do.

I guess my next step is learn how to tune with MT at http://www.megasquirt.info/megatune.htm please tell me if this is a right place to be.

Thanks
