MSII with MSD and TFI

Post by Redrocket »

there seems to be some issues regarding this set up and i'd like to make it straight forward for myself and others. I'll post what i have done, can anyone confirm this as correct. thanks, Jeff

step 50: I did step A Hall/Optical, D1 was jumpered and D2 has a 1k resistor installed

step 52: jumpered for Hall/Optical

Step 65: this is a tuff one. I installed High current ignition driver, kept R43 and jumpered for high current in step D

I did NOT do the IGBT pull-up mod because i'm using and MSD box, and my take on that from Jerry at DIY-Autotune's TFI + MSD mod page says no output mods except Enable High current ignition driver.

here is the link for that, scroll down to MSII with MSD and TFI
http://www.diyautotune.com/tech_article ... ustang.htm

above that, MSII with MSD and TFI is MSII with TFI only (no MSD box), in that box it states for output mod: don't install R43 and add the pull-up resistor.

I think i have this all correct, if someone could confirm this it would make me feel better about the decisions i have made. thanks, Jeff
