MS11 to MS1

Post by caddy16vt »

Bit of a newbie question

Decided to use megasquirt on my compound charged 16v. I can get a MS11 cheaply. Hovever i have been adviced to use MS1 with V3 and SNS untill MS11 has been developed further.

My question is that if i buy this MS11 V3 can i change the processor for MS1. Then use this and when MS11 has been further developed change the processor back for the MS11

Thanks in advance for any replys

Thats how its designed, pull the MS1 processor and press in the MS2 processor.

All you then do is configure the MS2 with the tables and settings the MS1 used and away you go.

Obviously with a loose end or two to tidy, but laymans terms, thats pretty much it 8)

One very important step!!

MAKE SURE you do not have +12V connected to the socket when using MS1.

This is a standard install for the MS2 and you absolutely must remove it before fitting the MS1 unless you adore the smell of burning electronics - the CPU will be destroyed.
