downloading code
On the configuration manual it said that the messages should be "Verification succeeded, 999 records total (4 skipped)." but the message i get on the downloader window is "Verification succeeded, 919 records total (4 skipped)."
is it ok that 919 records instead of 999 records?
is my MS2 work fine or i can just ignore it.

my problem now is my USb to serial communication to the MS2.
i used usb to serial cable( Prolific PL-2303-based USB to serial adapters)in downloading the code to MS2 with no problem.
after downloading the code and resarting my MS2 (jumper remove), my MS2 won't communicate with megatune.
my uSb to serial cables was assigned at com3, i have configure the setting in com 3 for megatune ..but still no response...
what seem's to be the problem?

I just upgraded to the latest 2.25 MT and am having some fun all over again with getting the thing set up.
Firstly, on page : http://www.megasquirt.info/ms2/code.htm
It says
"If you have changed code version (or loaded code for the first time), you may need to change the MegaTune INI file to match the new code. These are located in the MegaTune225/mtCfg/ folder. The files have names like "megasquirt-II.ini.2.0", where 2.0 indicates the code it is to be used with"
This would imply that if I am using the S19 file 2.35, then I would need a 2.35 .ini file right? I did not find a 2.35 .ini file anywhere.
Other thing is, when I try and open my previous saved tune files, I get a BIG error screen telling me that the .msq contains data not compatible with the current configuration.
Does this mean my .msq files are no longer useable? I must start again? Say it aint so lest I grow more white hairs on my chin!

All 2.XY use the same 2.X INI file. For example, the 2.35 code uses the 2.3 INI file. This is the way the code upgrades are designed. Major revisions are incremented by +0.1 and require a new INI file, minor revisions (+0.01) use the same INI file.)
The number of records depends on the code, 999 is used in the manual as an example (which is why it is italicized).
If you are upgrading from an earlier version, then the MSQ may work, it may fail completely, or it might put some numbers in, but not all (depoending if you are using an XML MSQ, and how close things are). You have to check over all your settings. In general, it's a good idea to export your tables (VE, spark, and AFR) to save a lot of the typing (the ecported tables can be sharred by differing code versions).
