wideband options
I'll most likely being going with a ms1 with the pcb3.0 board.
Now…I currently have a twin setup and still use the narrowband O2's. It is my understanding that when I buy a lc-1, my tuning capability will be much greater than with the narrowband setup. I currently have the 02 bungs ~ 6" after my turbine outlets. I also have a single bung on my drivers side down pipe in the tranny tunnel area as I planned on eventually getting a wideband.
Now are my options…could you help me decide which would be the best?
Option one:
I use one wideband sensor on my drivers down pipe in the tranny tunnel area and remove my narrowband units. If so, will the sensor be to far away for startup fuel management…or will it function properly in general?
Option two:
I use my narrowband for the megasquirt and use the wideband for an air fuel monitor only. Now…It's my understanding that the megatune software only really works with a wideband, but it seems as if I could control each bank separately because of the dual narrowband, and not use the megatune. Perhaps my train of thought is a bit off…and I know I have some more reading to do... but any thoughts ideas etc. would be appreciated.
Option three:
Run two widebands…one for each bank.
Now, this is the most expensive option…and obviously the better one. I'd like to know however if the extra cost outweighs either options one or two.
If anyone has any other Ideas, input etc…all would be appreciated.
Thanks!
