Throttle Response Problem

I'm getting some hesitation when I press the pedal from cruising (1800-2200RPM) but its fine once it get going. I have my accel stuff set up based off 50/50 MAP/TPS. What values do I adjust to smooth things out???

Can you log this behavior? That will help tremendously. In the meantime, you can try decreasing the threshholds for MAP and TPS taking care to watch for false triggering at cruise. Changing the balance of each may help as well. You can't hurt anything by experimenting - make small changes of one variable each and see if you're getting better or worse, guide future changes on this. Also remember that a rich bog feels remarkably like a lean one!

What iis the secret to watching the bar graphs on the accel enrich page anyway?
I see the bar on the TPS side of it fluctuating, usually in red and numbers displayed directly below the bargraph that are going from positive to negative integers continually. When I am pressing down on the pedal the bar is mostly red but I see a blue one trailing behind. First of all, what numbers do you put in the appropriate boxes and what are you shooting for (aside from a smooth transition) ??

Well, the units are in rates of change - volts per second for TPS and kPa per second for MAP. This is what triggers AE in the first place and also, depending on the rate of change, how much AE you get. Each engine/TB/install will need different values. The quickest and most accurate way I've found to dial this in is to find a large parking lot on a Sunday AM, do numerous slow starts/stops and log your tipin and easy accel attempts. Look at the logs and see how things feel to determine the direction you need to go in. AE is probably one of the more difficult things to get just right. There are other variants/modifiers to AE depending on the code version. Sorry this isn't much help, read the Tuning section on megasquirt.info for a longer, more complete description.

I will try and log everything this weekend along with taking your advice about using the parking lot. I'll post my MQS and datalog ASAP. Thanks for your help
