I am happy just using the idle stuff for now, but when you used fidle, when it turns on, what happens? Like does it GROUND or does it switch to 12v for a relay to click on?

Yes on all counts. MegaSquirt grounds the coil through the VB921, so it can control the timing (assuming you have a distributor to route the sprk to the correct cylinder at the correct time).

Does MSII just ground the coil at the appropriate time? If I am reading correctly, it get a switched 12v and then the pin__ grounds the coil for a correct fire.
