Serial Comms and Bootloader Questions

Is the ground for these circuits the "signal ground" or high current ground(s). The schematics just show ground.
2.3t Swapped RX-7, s200g turbo, ms3 sequential, LS2coils

The bootloader ground is the "signal ground" side. The serial ground pin goes directly back to the MAX3221 chip, which is also on the signal-side ground.
