alpha numeric

Ian,

That is what I did (more gas) which is why the VE table looked wierd. I think alpha numeric would be an advantage if I had a manual tranny but I am going back to speed density because it adjusts better under load at idle.

Thanks for your input.

alpha numeric

Ian,
Thanks for your reply. I probably was'nt very clear, the tuning point does'nt go all the way to the upper left corner but towards it. The VE table is laid out from 500 rpm to 7000 rpm and from 20 to 100 kpa. The motor never runs less than 40 kpa except during deceleration. Should I change the ...

alpha numeric

I just started trying to tune my motor in Alpha Numeric to try to get a better idle. (383 chevy with a fairly big roller cam) this has resulted in a radically different VE map than in speed density, the idle is better and the idle MAP is lower when in neutral or park but put it in gear and the ...

o2

Ok, I figured out that I had to configure Megatune to designate the Inovate WB sensor. Now the EGO guage in the tuning page reads from .5 to 4.5 volts. I also found out that I need to wire a 470 ohm 1/4 watt resistor between the Inovate output lead and the Megasquirt input o2 lead. Thanks to DIY ...

Wide Band O2 readings

I tried to post this yesterday but it didn't seem to work so I will try again.
I have switched from a narrow band O2 sensor to a wide band (Inovate). I changed the sensor designation in settings but the EGO gauge on the fuel map tuning page still reads from 0.00 to 1.00, shouldn't this guage have ...

Thanks,
I am looking at the o2 sensor voltage on the 8x8 fuel map tuning page. I am thinking I may have to go to a WB o2 sensor to get the results I want. Will a wide band sensor give more steady readings?

eratic o2 readings

I have a 383 chevy with a fairly large cam (.510 int. and .520 ex.) and full length headers - port injection, alternating, 2 squirts -running a 3 wire NB o2 sensor in the collector. I get very eratic O2 readings all the time except at larger throttle openings and higher rpm's. Is this because of the ...
