Wide Band O2 readings

Post by cbx1147 »

I tried to post this yesterday but it didn't seem to work so I will try again.
I have switched from a narrow band O2 sensor to a wide band (Inovate). I changed the sensor designation in settings but the EGO gauge on the fuel map tuning page still reads from 0.00 to 1.00, shouldn't this guage have a wider range now- like 0.00 to 5.00? Also, does the red and green bar graph read opposite with a wide band sensor? Also I tried Autotune but it just dug a hole in the fuel map at any vertex it touched until the car wouldn't even run, can I not use Autotune with a MS1?
Any insights would be appreciated.

o2

Ok, I figured out that I had to configure Megatune to designate the Inovate WB sensor. Now the EGO guage in the tuning page reads from .5 to 4.5 volts. I also found out that I need to wire a 470 ohm 1/4 watt resistor between the Inovate output lead and the Megasquirt input o2 lead. Thanks to DIY autotune.
