Micro on Mercedes C 124

Hi everybody!
I'm writing from Italy, I've a pretty complicated project (my first one): Installing FrankenCis system on the fuel system than supercharge the engine with a Rotrex C 30/86.
The car is a C124 '91 with a 6 cylinder 3 liter.
I've bought a new MicroSquirt here in Italy and created a 36-1 trigger wheel to mount in front of the crank pulley.
I read the instructions on the Micro manual but still having doubt on how to install correctly the trigger.
I can't mount the VR sensor on the left side as indicated in the picture on the manual. I could install it on the right down side of the pulley.
So I would ask You, please which is the the correct procedure to do this job?
