The TCI's on our bikes are getting old and failing due to age of components.
The Hitachi carburetors are no longer made and parts are hard to come by.
The motor is a 75* V-twin that has two vr pickups one for each cylinder. There's only one "tooth" on the flywheel that triggers the ignition system. Max engine rpm is 8000 rpm.
Is it possible to use a microsquirt to both handle ignition and a itb fuel system using only the existing vr sensors and the single tooth.
I very much want to develop a procedure to use microsquirt to run our 81-83 Viragos.
Any advice would be appreciated.

One tooth and two sensors is a pretty common setup with MicroSquirt, You'd need an external ignition module to run the coils, triggered by the MicroSquirt.

As I have an electrical engineering back ground I had intended on building my own coil igniters with a pair of bip373s.
I want to use the microsquirt module also so I was going to use st901s to drive the fuel injectors.
Does this sound like a good plan?
Thanks for your help and advice .....
