Hey guys,
New to the forums, just wanted to introduce myself.
I am in the process of building a microsquirt v3 controlled Honda cb750f.
The bike has gsxr throttle bodies and a gsxr fuel pump welded into the tank.
Currently having trouble getting tach signal from the vr sensor, which is why I was lead to the forum.
Hope to learn some and help some others along the way!
Thanks for reading!

Welcome to MS, Calvin.
Sounds like a fun project.
There are many on the forums that will lend a thought or helping recommendation, tends to be a bit quiet over on this side of the site, depending on what you are looking to do with your project there are firmware options that might lead you over to for instance "MS2Extra" code which is what I did for a number of "forced induction" reasons. However, B&G will work very nicely.
One thing I found really helpful to gain rock solid sync and performance from the VR sensors and tone wheels I have used was to set up a little test cell in my workshop and run things "off the bike" so to speak. A variable speed drill or drill press is handy and you can test those parts slow and easy, as well utilizing the composite tooth logging features on the subscribed (or purchased) version of Tuner Studio is pretty hard to beat. The cost of that is rather significantly reasonable in the grand scheme of things.
Cheers, Lorne

The first point to ponder when wondering why you aren't getting a good signal from the VR sensor is - what does your trigger wheel look like? Some tooth patterns give the uS real problems.
