Hey guys,
Building a 1979 honda cb750 with a fuel/spark run of mcrosquirt. for a trigger wheel i have a 12-1 with the stock Vr sensor from the cb750. and when it try cranking it get absolutly no signal to the computer. I tried with the crank analyzer to see what was happening and i still get nothing.
What could be going wrong?

Could be your settings, perhaps wiring polarity of the VR, gap, or just to slow for it to register (VR's have that drawback, although superior in survival of the engine environment category). Try measuring for voltage off the sensor as it is cranked to see what you've got. As I mentioned in the other post, testing tone wheels and VR's off bike in test jigs is great to flush out issues.
You also might want to post an MSQ of your tune, and a log of TS in composite menu for others to see things.

It gets 1.2 volts ac when running. And I think it has 450 ohms of resistance. I changed the air gap down to .11 yesterday and haven't gotten to try the tooth analyzer again.
Will post my tune once I get to my computer

I was working on it tonight. Switched to the hall effect signal wiring and the sensor started working! Im now having trouble with the harness... the ampseal connectors keep having bad connections.
I pulled the plugs so it cranks about 400 rpm and the computer doesnt say cranking but reads rpm. Is this normal?
