I want to go wasted spark with north star coils in my GTO. The question I have is can I go directly to the hei reluctor for the trigger signal, if so how do I get the ECU to see the #1 coil. Am considering using FAST dual sync as well but same question. I have read the hardware manual but it us not sinking in.

Have you read the HEI section of the manual?

For wasted spark, you will need to add a second, one tooth sensor. You might be able to attach it where the distributor rotor used to be.
