Hi , i dont know if the unit itself is supposed to put out some heat when powered with the engine not running? i pened the enclosure and no smell , nothing looks cooked...
Im also unable to communicate with two different usb to db9 adapters... do i have a defective unit ?
theres power to the ECU only , injector and coil fuses are removed
i started a thread about the no cummunication thing last week but i really wanted to get some attention about the heating of the unit.

Solved , it appears that i oversaw a little but important information , the ignition setup page i was refering to was for a v1-2 Microsquirt wich are supporting the direct coil drive .... Apparently this features isnt there anymore in the 3rd version and there was a notice that i didnt saw.... Theres so many pages of text and images in the manual !!!. I had the coils directly connected to IGN-A and IGN-B ... Odered a QuadSpark and it works fine but now my VR isnt seeing all the 36-1 teeth and doesnt gives me any good tach signal ... Fired it up two days ago and been able to give some throttle and was really excited bbut the next day no go...

, i gonna try another VR ...
